Mantle wedge flow pattern and thermal structure

Using geodynamic models, we quantify the effects of various factors, such as slab-mantle viscous coupling, slab geometry, and subduction obliquity, on the mantle wedge flow pattern and the thermal structure of subduction zones. The results are used in the interpretation of geophysical, geochemical, and petrological data, including seismic velocity, attenuation, and anisotropy structures, arc lava compositions, and thermobarometry of exhumed rocks.
